The Mödlinger Symphonic Orchestra was founded 35 years ago, the most memorable concert of this |

long-term activity took place on October 11, 2020. Already two concerts in the first half of the year were due

the corona pandemic had been canceled, the greater the anticipation for the concert in October. Were planned

two concerts, a matinee and an evening concert to accommodate all the audience despite the increased space between the seats.

On the day of the dress rehearsal, however, one of the first violinists was completely surprisingly positive about the rampant

COVID-19 virus tested, whereupon he and six other violinists, including both concert masters, immediately

had to go into quarantine. An implementation of the major work, which had been prepared for concert readiness, was over

artistic point of view, without a concertmaster and with 7 violinists less, unthinkable.

October 11, two days later: The program has been changed. Instead of Sergei's Symphonic Dances

Rachmaninoff, the orchestra plays Schubert's Unfinished Symphony - a work that has already been written for

a concert was studied in March 2020, but could not be performed because the concert was canceled.

The orchestra is smaller, with some courageous violinists switching from the second violins

in the dress rehearsal over to the first. Daniel Auner can finally appear in front of the orchestra as a conductor

He performs Mozart's violin concerto from the concert master's place. The spirited soloist Alexandra Tirsu

jumps in as concertmaster in the other two pieces. All musicians on stage

are highly concentrated, motivated and proud of something extraordinary, even in an absolutely exceptional situation

to be able to perform. The musical tension jumps over to the audience; the concert succeeds and those involved

Musicians, like many listeners, are extremely happy.
